Courtney Lawrence Studio office: Wall Sconce round-up

What do you do when you want to add something to your wall, but don’t want to overdo it? Add a wall sconce, that also doubles as a candlestick! It’s true. Use a real candle or a faux battery operated one and you can make your space feel cozy and sophisticated.

The before of my office space was simple. White walls, not a lot of decor. It was waiting for some life. I finally buckled down and created myself a full room design so I could visualize this space before buying anything new to fill it with.

My idea? Simple and sophisticated. To achieve that look I needed some paint, some wall trim and of course, some candletick sconces.

Thinking about hanging a candlestick sconce or two? Here’s a few places to consider:

  1. An entryway on both sides of a piece of art or mirror.

  2. Above a mantel on both sides of a mirror, piece of art, or TV.

  3. In a gallery wall! Yep, that’s right. Hang a candlestick sconce in the mix with your photos/art.

  4. On both sides of a hutch in your dining room.

  5. On both sides of a doorway.

  6. On both sides of a mirror in your bathroom, or just hang one on the wall in your bathroom!

  7. In an empty corner above an accent chair.

Below is a round-up of my favorite candlesticks sconces that I considered for this space. In the end, I needed something long to fill my trim boxes. Which wall sconce would you choose for your home?
