Okay - let's get right to it!

When you purchase a home, sometimes it's not exactly your style. That usually prompts some immediate changes.

Let's paint it right now!

Let's buy (or build) some furniture right now - we need to fill this space!

Or, the furniture we have will work just fine in this space!

(This is what it looks like when you put stuff in the space without giving the purpose and function any thought!)

An then we get into the groove of life and we don’t have time or don’t put any focus on the spaces we spend the most time in. Like our own bedroom.

It was time to change that!

I’m here to tell you, if you really put some thought into the space, if you write down on paper how you want the room to feel and function, you will be MUCH happier with the end result.

Here’s the simple list of goals for this space:

  • Calming and relaxing.

  • Simple and minimal, yet functional for this stage of life. Less stuff in the space, but needs furniture that can do double duty, like a dresser that’s also a nightstand.

  • Keep the color tone/flow of the house.

  • Keep the bed, most of the bedding, chair, and use plants and frames we already have.

Check out the design board for this space.
